Meeting Minutes
May 20, 2015
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:05 p.m.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neely, Rebecca Umphrey, Carol James, Ann Norment, Mike
Pendleton, Friends of the Library president Amanda Green, and director Priscilla McAnally.
Absent were Denise Kornegay and Connie Dodd.
I. Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as corrected (date).
II. New Business:
Cleonne Drake and Daisy Harville are the only two applicants for the board
vacancy opening in July.
III. Old Business:
None
IV. Presentations:
A. Budget Report — Approximately 58% of the year's budget has been expended at
this time which is on track for the year.
B. Statistical Report — There was a circulation increase of 3.04% over April, 2014;
while library visits decreased 6.69% during the same period.
V. Friends of the Library: The additional copies of Little Women purchased by the
Friends for the "One City, One Book" event have arrived and been added to the
catalog.
