Hashmi Date: 6 -10 -2015 City of Paris Revised 05/12/2015 Bathrooms at Fairground The fairground for Paris is an important location since the fair and for other social events that happen at this site. There has been numerous requests about need for availability of fixed bathroom facilities at this site. Last year after due consideration the council approved in its budget approximately 8o K dollars for the construction of bathrooms at the fair grounds. The project was approved over the budget year Zo15 -zoi6 year with part of the money to be taken from the upcoming 2ol6 budget. The cost that is currently estimated is about 1Zo K dollars. Currently as it stands the city is in discussions with various contractors to come up with the plan so that the project can be underway. Due to shortfall in funds the city is in discussion with as various builders in town where they will provide voluntary services for the project, while the city will provide materials and infrastructure services so that the project could be completed while cost curtailed to finish the project. Suggestion If the council feels comfortable with the plan we should authorize this expense now and allow the city manager to proceed with the development of the final construction project at this time.
