SUBJECT: FARRIS 167 -A ADDITION FINAL PLAT
DATE: July 7, 2015
BACKGROUND: Mr. & Mrs. DeWayne Farris own Lot 5A and part of 5 of City Block 167
located in the 300 Block of SE Loop 286. It is located at the northeast corner of 3rd St. SE and
Loop 286 SE. The property currently has two different zonings, the southern majority of the
property is zoned Commercial (C) and the northern portion is zoned Agricultural (A). The future
land use map shows the entire lot to be zoned Commercial (C). The lot is served by water and
sewer mains along the Loop 286 frontage. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted to
approve the final plat by a vote of 5 -0 on July 6t', 2015.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The Farris family is proposing to expand the current business. They are
proposing to add an additional shop and storage area to the glass shop. It appears that the final
plat complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the final plat.
