SUBJECT: OPERATIONS PLAN UPDATE/EMS & IT

BACKGROUND: As part of our annual budgeting /planning process, we try to have each major
department present its needs, priorities, and plans to the council each year to help look at the
budget in a longer, broader view. Kent Klinkerman, who directs both EMS and IT, will make a
presentation at the July 13 council meeting.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Significant issues include:
• Replacement ambulance & related equipment;
• Replacement EMS station;
• Compensation.
