Meeting Minutes
June 17, 2015
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:15 p.m.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neely, Connie Dodd, Denise Kornegay, Rebecca Umphrey,
and director Priscilla McAnally. Absent were Carol James, Ann Norment, and Mike Pendleton.
I. Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved.
II. New Business:
A. Proposed budget for FY 2016 is increased $3,900 over FY 2015. The new fiscal
year begins October 1.
B. Board vacancy (Ann Norment's position) will be filled by July 1. The new
member of the board will join us at the July meeting.
III. Old Business:
None
IV. Presentations:
A. Budget Report — As of May 31, $80,262.83 has been spent on materials for the
library. Approximately 68% of the year's budget has been expended at this time
which is on track for the year.
B. Statistical Report — Both circulation and library visits increased over last year
with a circulation increase of 7.16 %, and library visits increased by 4.44 %.
V. Friends of the Library:
No report
VI. Director's Remarks:
The John Chisum painting restoration is finished, and it is ready for framing.
Also, the library will be closed both Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
