SUBJECT: OPERATIONS PLAN UPDATE/UTILITIES
DATE: July 16, 2015
BACKGROUND: As part of our annual budgeting /planning process, we try to have each major
department present its needs, priorities, and plans to the council to help look at the budget with a
longer, broader view. Utilities Director Doug Harris will make a presentation at the July 27
council meeting.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Significant issues include:
• Improvements at water treatment plant, including mandated filter work;
• Improvements at the wastewater treatment plant;
• Lift stations; and
• Engineering services and grant & loan applications for a new WWTP.
