1. Call meeting to order- Jill Drake at 4:17 pm
2. Role taken. Quorum established. Chairman, Jill Drake welcomed new members: Pat Fowzer, Phillip
Peeples and returning Missy Starnes.
3. Election of Officers:
Chair: Glee nominated Jill Drake. Second by Missy Starnes motion carried.
Vice Chair: Jill Drake nominated Glee Emmite Second by Pat Fowzer. Motion carried.
Secretary: Jill Drake nominated Glee Emmite .Second by Missy Starnes. Motion carried.
4. Citizens Forum: none present.
6. Jumped to consideration of application for Business Improvement Grant (BIG) application.
Steve Harper presented his plans for roof replacement on the building 134 -140 North Main Street.
Glee Emmite made the motion to approve request for $5,000. Second by Missy Starnes . Motion
carried.
5. Approval of minutes of June 9, 2015. Motion was made by Pat Fowzer. Seconded by Phillip Peeples,
Motion carried
7. Main Street Program Overview: presented by Cheri Bedford and Jill Drake
8. Coordinator report: Cheri Bedford:
a. Work Plan Workshop planned for Thursday, August 13, 2015 4 -8 pm. with Catherine Sak ,
Executive Director of Texas Downtown Association. The work plan is necessary for the application for
National Recognition Application.
b. The applications for businesses in existence for 50 years have been submitted for the Texas Treasure
Award Plan to present the awards as a Preservation Month 2016 awareness activity. (One of the
requirements for National Recognition)
c. Movies in The Park this week "Little Rascals"
d. Pumpkin Festival- Plans are already in the works.
9. Committee Reports
a. Promotions - -Missy Starnes -Last Movies in the Park - Thursday, July 23, 2015. Mannequin Night is
October 17th Jill Autry is heading that up.
b. Organization- Jill Drake- no report

d. Design: Nancy Waldrum- no report
e. HPC-- Beatrice Ardila: no report
d. Chamber: VCC -Becky Semple- Attended Tourism College with Cheri Bedford. SlowRoll
planned for July 17th and Tour de Paris, Saturday, July 18, 2015 - -so far 434 entries
SW Drag Boat Race set for August 21 -23, 2015 - -100 boats.
