AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD

1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Dennis Ashby, Vice -
Chairman, at 5:3Op. m.
A. The following members were present: Dennis Ashby, Matt Birch, Gary Tolleson,
Tim Bullock and Anna Spencer
B. The following members were absent: Chris Fitzgerald and Paula Portugal
C. Also present: Shawn Napier, Airport Director; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; and
Ashley Fendley, City Staff
2. Election of Officers:
A. Chairman — Motion was made by Gary Tolleson, seconded by Anna Spencer to
nominate Dennis Ashby as Chairman. Motion carried 5 -0.
B. Vice- Chairman — Motion was made by Dennis Ashby, seconded by Tim Bullock to
nominate Matt Birch as Vice - Chairman. Motion carried 5 -0.
3. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (June 18, 2015)
Motion was made by Gary Tolleson, seconded by Matt Birch to approve the minutes from
June 18, 2015 meetings. Motion carried 5 -0.
4. Report from Shawn Napier, Airport Director.
Shawn Napier stated that they will be replacing seven windows in the maintenance
building. Mr. Napier also stated that the construction date for the T- Hangars is schedule
for 2016. The T- Hangars will be a six or eight unit due to money issues. Mr. Napier
further stated that the private hangar lease agreement has been sent to the legal
department.
5. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2016 Fly -In /Air Show.
Shawn Napier stated that we are working on getting funding in the 2016 budget for the
Fly- In/Air Show. Mr. Napier further stated the land sale money has been used for our
match money with TxDOT Aviation to construct the T- Hangars. At this point we might be
looking at having the Fly- In/Air Show in spring of 2016. The Airport Advisory Board
member would like to look into dates on the chambers calendar.
