1. Call meeting to order -Jill Drake 4:18 pm
2. Role taken. Quorum established.
3. Citizens Forum: none noted.
4. Approval of minutes of August 13, 2015. Motion was made Phillip Peeples, seconded by Missy Starnes.
Motion carried.
5. Review of Work Plans and Vision Statement - Cheri presented both -it was agreed that it was properly
stated.
6. Review of the Work Plans from TBA by Jill Drake and Cheri Bedford - -it is agreed that each
committee will fill in their work and have them by the October Meeting
7. Date and time of the Main Street Board meeting was discussed by Jill Drake and since we do not
have a full Board Membership yet we will postpone the discussion to a Future Agenda item at the next
meeting.
8. Coordinator report: Cheri Bedford:
a. Texas Capital Fund Sidewalk Grant - being submitted for two areas
b. Hatch Chili Event -great turnout - best yet
c. Festival of Pumpkins- 61/2 weeks away
d. Resignation of Board Members - Beatrice Ardila and Nancy Waldrum Paris City Council will
appoint the nominees
9. Designate board member as representative for HPC- Motion made by Jill Drake to elect Phillip
Peeples as the Main Street representative for Historic Preservation Commission, seconded by Chris
Dux, motion carried.
10. Committee Reports -
e. Organization -Jill Drake met 1 st Wed of Month (Work Plan)
f. Design- Glee Emmite presented the ornament design and announced that they have been ordered --
hoping to being sales at Antique Fair.
g. Economic Restructure - Phillip Peeples- met July 28th -- purpose to do building and occupancy
inventory of Downtown Buildings and Business
h. Promotions- Missy Starnes 6:15 planning meeting tonite -- Upcoming Mannequin Night October
17th
i. VCC and Chamber -Becky Semple- Drag Boat Races huge success - Chaparral Square Dance
participants loved the Farmers Market Hatch Chili- Shop Local Starts October
24, 2015 -- drawing on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 prize $5,000 & $10,000. Cheri and I will attend
Travel Show - -swag bags for Paris, Texas already prepared however we have the opportunity to
handout ads for Antique Fair, Pumpkin Fest. Marlin Gorley has updated the 1916 Fire Area Map- -
converting them from 1916 street numbers & names to current 2015 names & numbers
