Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 16, 2015 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Carol James, Denise Kornegay, Mike <br />Pendleton, and director Priscilla McAnally. Absent were Rebecca Umphrey and Daisy Harvill. <br />I. Approval of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved. <br />II. New Business: <br />None <br />III. Old Business: <br />None <br />IV. Presentations: <br />A. Budget Report — As of August 31, $55,404.64 remained to be spent before the <br />new budget year begins on October 1. <br />B. Statistical Report — Both circulation and library visits showed a decreased from <br />last year with a circulation decrease of 10.88 %, and library visits decreased by <br />5.89 %. <br />V. Friends of the Library: <br />No report; however, Priscilla reported that the Friends purchased a new area rug for <br />the Children's area. <br />VI. Director's Remarks: <br />The John Chisum painting will be returned to the library the week of September 21. <br />The total cost of restoration of the painting, repair of the frame, and the addition of <br />Plexi -Glass to protect the painting was $7,200. <br />VII.
