Meeting Minutes
September 16, 2015
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:00 p.m.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Carol James, Denise Kornegay, Mike
Pendleton, and director Priscilla McAnally. Absent were Rebecca Umphrey and Daisy Harvill.
I. Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved.
II. New Business:
None
III. Old Business:
None
IV. Presentations:
A. Budget Report — As of August 31, $55,404.64 remained to be spent before the
new budget year begins on October 1.
B. Statistical Report — Both circulation and library visits showed a decreased from
last year with a circulation decrease of 10.88 %, and library visits decreased by
5.89 %.
V. Friends of the Library:
No report; however, Priscilla reported that the Friends purchased a new area rug for
the Children's area.
VI. Director's Remarks:
The John Chisum painting will be returned to the library the week of September 21.
The total cost of restoration of the painting, repair of the frame, and the addition of
Plexi -Glass to protect the painting was $7,200.
