AGENDA
1. Call meeting to order — Richard Manning Chair
2. Citizens' Input
(Persons desiring to address the Paris EDC Board must limit their presentation to no more than
two minutes. Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the
Board from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an
existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the Paris
EDC, Board Members or employees are not appropriate for citizens' input.)
3. Discuss and possibly take action on readopting the tax abatement guidelines and policy. (John
Godwin)
4. Discuss and possibly take action on participation with the City in the development of hangars at
Cox Field. (John Godwin)
5. Discuss and possibly take action on a proposed downtown redevelopment project. (John Godwin)
6. Discuss and possibly take action on recommendations by JC Darnell on our need for an indexed
database and storage drive.
7. Discuss and possibly take action on the Request for Proposals for the cleanup and demolition of
the 2305 NW Loop 286 property.
8. Discuss and possibly take action on Board Members personal e-mail use.
9. Discuss and possibly take action on Holiday Pay for temporary staff at PEDC.
10. Discuss and possibly approve changes to 2014 -2015 Amended Budget.
11. Discuss and possibly approve Minutes of October 20, 2015 Meeting.
12. Discuss and possibly approve October 2015 Financials.
13. Convene into Executive Session:
a) Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Governmental Code: 1) to deliberate the
appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a
public officer or employee; or 2) to hear a complaint to charge against an officer or employee.
: Consider employment agency services for Executive Director search.
b) Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to discuss or deliberate: 1)
Commercial or Financial information that the governmental body has received from a
business prospect that the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near
the territory of the governmental body and with which the governmental body is conducting
economic development negotiations, or 2) to deliberate the offer of a financial or other
incentive to a business prospect: New Jobs or Retained Jobs and New or Expanding Industry
14. Reconvene into Open Session and possibly take action on item(s) discussed in Executive Session.
15. Discuss Future Agenda Items.
