Meeting Minutes
October 14, 2015
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:07 p.m.
Present:
Board members present were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Carol James, Denise Kornegay, Daisy
Harvill, Rebecca Umphrey and director Priscilla McAnally. Absent was Mike Pendleton.
I. Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved with the correction in the
spelling of Fran Neeley's last name.
II. New Business:
None
III. Old Business:
None
IV. Presentations:
A. Budget Report — Priscilla will provide the 2014 -2015 end of year budget at our next
meeting. The total budget for 2015 -2016 which started on Oct. 1 is $691,853.00.
B. Statistical Report — Both circulation and library visits showed a decreased from last year
with a circulation decrease of 6.97 %, and library visits decreased by 1.25 %.
These are the year -end statistics for 2014 -2015:
Circulation — 120,824
Visits — 92,149
Computer Use — 10,147
New Library Cards — 1,721
V. Friends of the Library:
No report.
VI. Director's Remarks:
A. The John Chisum painting has been returned to the library. As soon as a cleat is
installed for the painting, it will return to its place in the library.
B. A flyer for a Community Health Clinic was approved for posting in the library.
