1. Call meeting to order — Richard Manning Chair
2. Citizens' Input
(Persons desiring to address the Paris EDC Board must limit their presentation to no more than
two minutes. Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the
Board from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an
existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the Paris
EDC, Board Members or employees are not appropriate for citizens' input.)
3. Discuss and possibly approve Minutes of the January 19, 2016 Meeting.
4. Discuss and possibly approve January 2016 Financials.
5. Discuss and possible action on how the car allowance should be facilitated by the PEDC for the
Executive Director.
6. Discuss and possible action on the participation level with Team Texas through the Texas
Economic Development Council.
7. Discuss and possible action on travel to the TEDC Winter Conference in Bastrop, TX.
8. Discuss and possible action to review PEDC Standard Operating Procedures.
9. Convene into Executive Session:
a) Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to discuss or deliberate: 1)
Commercial or Financial information that the governmental body has received from a
business prospect that the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near
the territory of the governmental body and with which the governmental body is conducting
economic development negotiations, or 2) to deliberate the offer of a financial or other
incentive to a business prospect.
