Description of Item: With the major success that we are currently experiencing with the
recycling bins, I feel it is time that we begin exploring a city -wide curbside recycling program.
Currently, there is vast enthusiasm by the residents of the community toward recycling.
Recycling is good for the environment and is a financial benefit to the city, because we save
money on landfill fees. At this point, I feel that we should introduce a city -wide recyclin
program that encompasses curbside pickup. This would probably placing appropriate
small recycling bins at individual properties. I would like to discuss various options about such a
program.
