SUBJECT: STREET MATERIALS ANNUAL BID/REBID
DATE: March 4, 2016
BACKGROUND: This is the annual bid for roadway materials to be used by the Street, Water
Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Parks Divisions. The materials competitively bid include
CRS -2 Emulsion Asphalt; SS -1 Emulsion Asphalt (Tack Oil); Portland Cement Concrete "Class
A" (5 sack); Portland Cement Concrete "Class C' (6 sack); Grout 5 sack; Grout 6 sack.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City of Paris Public Works Department has received sealed bids for
street materials and would like to award bids to the lowest bidder for each material. The bid
tabulation sheet is attached for details of the bids and materials, with low bids highlighted. Eight
vendors were directly solicited; seven vendors provided low bids for at least one material type.
BUDGET: Monies are budgeted in the Street, Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Park
Divisions.
RECOMMENDATION: Award bids as indicated in attachment.
