Meeting Minutes
February 17, 2016
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:OOpm by Fran
Neeley.
Attendance:
Board members in attendance were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Carol James, Rebecca Umphrey, Daisy
Harvill, Mike Pendleton, Denise Kornegay, and director Priscilla McAnally.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the January meeting were unanimously approved as presented.
I. New Business:
Policies Review. Priscilla provided each Board member with a copy of the Paris Public
Library Policies. She led the Board through the document and pointed out needed changes.
Additional suggestions were made in some instances. Connie Dodd volunteered to take the
document to do some additional editing before the Board gives final approval.
II. Old Business:
Roof Repair. The repairs for the library roof are "in the queue" for the roofer. Repairs will
be made as soon as possible.
III. Presentations
a. Budget Report. Expenditures are on target for this year.
b. Statistical Report. Slight decreases again this month in Circulation (- 8.35 %) and
Visits (463 %). Increases were in juvenile book circulation, downloadable audios,
volunteer hours, attendance in both children's and adult programs, reserves,
Interlibrary Loans, and Freegal Music downloads and streaming.
