14-Main Street Board AppointmentItem No. 14 memorandum TO: Mayor & City Council John Godwin, City Manager FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD DATE: March 10, 2016 BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards, Commissions, and Committees adopted by City Council allow for the appointment of a board member when a vacancy occurs. STATUS OF ISSUE: Main Street Advisory Board Member Missy Starnes resigned, leaving one vacancy on the Board. Staff recently advertised for a vacancy through the city web -site and the Paris News. Subsequently, City Council appointed two new board members to those vacant positions. We currently have three applicants as follows: Lea Rolen, Jess Kammer, and Kristi Head.
