SUBJECT: 2013 BOND FUND - CONTRACT B1 INSPECTION REPORT
DATE: April 6, 2016
BACKGROUND: In January 2016, the City Council requested a third -party review of the
quality of construction methods and inspections performed on the 2013 Bond Fund Contract B I.
The project included installation of new water lines, sanitary sewers, and pavement repairs along
West Houston Street and Maple Avenue. The City contracted with EST Comprehensive
Engineering Services (EST) to provide a post - construction evaluation of the work completed on
West Houston Street and Maple Avenue.
STATUS OF ISSUE: EST has completed their evaluation of work performed under Contract
B1. A full report will be provided prior to the council meeting on April 11, 2016, and EST will
make a presentation of their findings to Council.
BUDGET: Funds are budgeted and available from 2013 bond proceeds.
RECOMMENDATION: Provide feedback and direction as needed.
