18 - UTILITIES CONSTRUCTION UPDATEItem No. 18 memorandum TO: Mayor & City Council FROM: John Godwin, City Manager SUBJECT: UTILITIES CONSTRUCTION UPDATE DATE: April 4, 2016 BACKGROUND: As we proceed with construction on a number of major construction projects throughout the city, many of which are now occurring under city streets, the inconvenience and difficulties faced by neighbors and the travelling public continue to grow. STATUS OF ISSUE: Carla Easton and Jerry McDaniel will make a presentation to the council Monday to bring everyone up to date on the status of various projects and sub - projects, as well as specific difficulties that have arisen in various locations. BUDGET: Funds are budgeted and available from 2013 bond proceeds. RECOMMENDATION: Provide feedback and direction as needed.
