SUBJECT: DONATIONS TO LAMAR COUNTY HUMANE ASSOCIATION
DATE: April 21, 2016
BACKGROUND: A request has been made for the City of Paris to collect donations for the
Lamar County Humane Association through the City's utility bills in the same way the City
collects for Keep Paris Beautiful and Trail de Paris.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Collection of donations for the Lamar County Humane Association would
be possible if the Council authorizes this action.
BUDGET: The cost of modifying the utility bills to add the Humane Association would be
approximately $375.
RECOMMENDATION: Motion to either approve or deny the request by the Lamar County
Humane Association for the City to collect donations for the LCHA via City utility bills.
