ORDINANCE NO, 1620, <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1406 AND ORDINANCE <br />NQ 1448, ARTICLE XXI, SECTION 4, SUBSECTION (c), BY CEANGING ALL <br />OF THE METERED PARKING SPACES DEFINED IN SUBSECTIQN (c) AND <br />PROVIDING FOR QNE HOUR PARKING UPON THE DEPOSIT OF A FIVE <br />CENT COIN Or TI-iE UNITED STATES IN THE PARKING METER ALONG- <br />SIDE OF OR NEXT TO SUCH PARKING SPACE; REPEALING ALL ORDI- <br />NANCES IN CQNFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />That Ordinance No, 1406 and Ordinance No, 1448, Article XXI, Section <br />4, Subsection (c), be, and the same is hereby amended as follows: <br />Section 1. That Article XXI, Section 4, Subsection (c), which subsection <br />creates certain parking meter spaces in and around the Public Fountain on <br />the Public 5quare in the downtown area of the City of Paris, and the portion <br />of said Subsection ~c), which provides for Five Cents for thirty minutes and <br />Ten Cents for one hour, is hereby repealedo That every person who desires <br />to park or stand a motor vehicle in one of the aforesaid metered parking <br />spaces shall deposit a five cent coin of the United States alongside of or <br />next to such parking space and thereby be entitled to park at said location <br />for a period of one hour. That said parking meters shall be so equipped <br />that they will take only five cent coins. <br />Section 2, That any person guilty of over parking in the above metered <br />spaces shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and the penalty prescribed in <br />Ordinance No. 1406 for over parking shall apply. <br />Section 3. Tliat all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately. <br />Passed and adopted this l lth day of March, A.
