ORDINANCE NO, 1620, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1406 AND ORDINANCE NQ 1448, ARTICLE XXI, SECTION 4, SUBSECTION (c), BY CEANGING ALL OF THE METERED PARKING SPACES DEFINED IN SUBSECTIQN (c) AND PROVIDING FOR QNE HOUR PARKING UPON THE DEPOSIT OF A FIVE CENT COIN Or TI-iE UNITED STATES IN THE PARKING METER ALONG- SIDE OF OR NEXT TO SUCH PARKING SPACE; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CQNFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That Ordinance No, 1406 and Ordinance No, 1448, Article XXI, Section 4, Subsection (c), be, and the same is hereby amended as follows: Section 1. That Article XXI, Section 4, Subsection (c), which subsection creates certain parking meter spaces in and around the Public Fountain on the Public 5quare in the downtown area of the City of Paris, and the portion of said Subsection ~c), which provides for Five Cents for thirty minutes and Ten Cents for one hour, is hereby repealedo That every person who desires to park or stand a motor vehicle in one of the aforesaid metered parking spaces shall deposit a five cent coin of the United States alongside of or next to such parking space and thereby be entitled to park at said location for a period of one hour. That said parking meters shall be so equipped that they will take only five cent coins. Section 2, That any person guilty of over parking in the above metered spaces shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and the penalty prescribed in Ordinance No. 1406 for over parking shall apply. Section 3. Tliat all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately. Passed and adopted this l lth day of March, A.
