MINUTES REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS 107 E. KAUFMAN STREET PARIS, TEXAS MONDAY, APRIL 4, 2016 5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. 1. The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, April 4, 2016, was called to order at 5:3 Op.m. by Holland Harper, Chairman. A. The following members were present: Holland Harper, John Lee, Jerry Akers, Barney Bray and Robert Spain B. The following member was absent: Mike Folmar C. Also present were Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; Shane Grissom, Engineering Technician; Stephanie Harris, City Attorney; Carla Easton, City Engineer; Clyde Crews, Fire Marshal; Steve Clifford, City Council; Cheri Bedford, Main Street Coordinator; Ashley Fendley, Secretary for the Planning and Zoning Commission and Concerned Citizens. Holland Harper announced that Billy Trenado had resigned from the commission. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (March 7, 2016) Motion was made by John Lee, seconded by Barney Bray to approve minutes for the March 7, 2016 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. 3. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Sequoia Brown on behalf of Russell and Leslie Stidham for a change in zoning from Single - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Two - Family Dwelling District (2F), on Block B, Lot 24, of the Willowcrest #2 Addition, being located in the 2600 Block of Crescent Drive. Public hearing was declared open. A. One individual spoke in favor. Sequoia Brown, spoke in favor of the petition. Mrs. Brown stated that she didn't see a difference whether she constructed a duplex or single family home on this piece property for street view issues. However, Mrs. Brown stated she was open to a single story structure instead of a two story if needed. Mrs. Brown further stated she does not see this zoning change as spot zoning since there are other duplexes
