stated that he had experienced storm damage earlier in the year and needs to repair the <br />Lamar Avenue side of the former Kress building, noting this is not the primary fagade. He <br />has researched for historic photos and hadn't turned up anything. Without any historic <br />evidence of what existed previously, he sought help from the Texas Main Street design <br />architects through a design review to help guide him with a rendering of what is <br />appropriate. He plans on doing some investigation demo of the area, and depending on <br />what he finds would like to restore to one of the suggested designs from the Texas Main <br />Street Program. <br />Commissioner Barbee made the motion to approve the investigative demolition of the <br />building, and depending on what historic materials remain either repair the windows, or <br />make fagade improvements.. <br />4. Coordinator Report: Cheri let the commissioners know that Commissioner Peeples has <br />resigned because of he received a new job, and the Main Street Board will appoint a new <br />liaison to replace Commissioner Peeples. There were no questions about the COA's <br />administratively approved. <br />5. Commissioner Dux led the review and discussion on the City of Paris code of ordinances and <br />the duties and responsibilities as they are related to Historic Preservation and Buildings and <br />Standards. <br />6 Commissioner Dux tabled the discussion on Design Standards and report from National <br />Alliance of Preservation Commission Conference. <br />7. Commissioner Knox asked for an update on Commissioners Alarid's building located at 104 <br />Bonham. Commissioner Dux asked for the criteria for the designation for National Register, <br />Recorded Texas Landmarks, and Local Landmarks to be emailed out with the next agenda <br />packets. <br />8.
