Owner: Dorothy F Smith C/O Cynthia Elaine Smith 1135 Van Zandt Paris, TX <br />75460 <br />Robert Talley has spoken with Cynthia and she asked for 90 days to get her items <br />out of the structure. <br />No taxes owed. <br />Robert Talley stated that there were signs that the owner tried to patch the roof at <br />some point. The roof is buckling, there are broken windows, missing and <br />deteriorated wood, collapsing back porch, the underpinning is missing, and the <br />shed in the back of the property is also collapsing. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Zac Saffle, seconded by Johnny Norris to accept Robert <br />Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />B. 832 NE 12th, Belmont Addition, Block 9, Lot 11 <br />Owner: Lisbon & Pauline Hughes 832 NE 12th Paris, TX 75460 <br />The certified letter Robert Talley sent to the owner came back unclaimed. <br />$370.53 back taxes owed. <br />Robert Talley stated the structures unsecure, has open doors and broken windows, <br />the roof is leaking, has deteriorating and missing wood, house is peeling up, and <br />is full of junk and rubbish. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Sally McEwin, seconded by Wendell Moore to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />D. 1007 Martin Luther King Dr., City of Paris, Block 270, Lot Pt 4 <br />Owner: Glenda Williams 225 NE 42nd St. Paris, TX 75460 <br />No contact has been made with the owner. <br />$1835.12 owed in back taxes <br />Robert Talley stated that the property owner tried to board the house up, the roof <br />line is deteriorating, the roof is crumbing, there is furniture and a large brush pile <br />at the back porch, the house is sinking on the East side, and there is missing <br />underpinning. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to accept Robert <br />Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />E. 534 NW 5th, City of Paris, Block 81, Lot 2 <br />Owner: Clyde Daniels 549 NW 5th Paris, TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley talked to Mrs. Daniels and she asked for 90 days to repair the <br />structure. <br />
