The property is unsecure, roof is leaking, graffiti on the inside of <br />the house, and there is mold, roof damage and deterioration along the roof line. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mr. Alexander stated that he has been working on other structures that he owns in <br />the city but he intends to comply with whatever the Commission decides. He <br />stated that he bought the house about a year ago, he has hauled three trailer loads <br />of trash from the property. He has talked to a roofer, plumber and an electrician <br />asking for estimates. He also stated that he has secured the house several times. <br />He asked the Commission for six months to either demolish or repair. If the <br />house is not worth saving he will have it demolished. He already has interior <br />and exterior doors and insulated windows for this house. <br />Mr. Wilson informed Mr. Alexander that 90 days was the most the Commission <br />could grant him and Mr. Alexander stated that that was more than fair. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Jon McFadden to grant <br />Mr. Alexander 90 days to properly secure the house, remove the graffiti and <br />make substantial improvements. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />A. 559 Church St., City of Paris, Block 140, Lot 4B <br />Owner: John & Cynthia Fisher, 2918 Wyndrock Dr., Abilene, TX 79606 -1946 <br />Mr. Talley asked that this property be pulled as it is in the middle of a foreclosure. <br />He has contacted the mortgage company and is waiting on a return phone call. <br />B. 778 E. Wood St., Pickard Addition, Block 2, Lot 1 -A & 2 <br />Owner: Bill Flukus, 504 Palmtree Dr, Gaithersburg, MD 20878 -2934 <br />$1157.11 in back taxes owed <br />Robert Talley stated that he has had no contact with the property owner. Mr. <br />Talley showed pictures of deterioration along the roof line, the underpinning is <br />starting to come off, the roof is starting to sink, there is a small hole in the roof <br />over the front porch, the rafters are starting to protrude, and there is missing and <br />deteriorated wood along the bottom of the house. There is also a shed at the <br />back of the property that is dilapidated. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation.
