C. 730 Martin Luther King, City of Paris, Block 93C, Lot 1A <br />Owner: Willie & Ophelia Whaley, PO Box 794387, Dallas, TX 75379 -4387 <br />No back taxes owed <br />Robert Talley stated that Willie Whaley is deceased and Ophelia Whaley lives in <br />Dallas with her daughter. Mr. Talley has spoken to the daughter and has asked <br />for 60 days to demolish the structure. If she is unable to demolish it within 60 <br />days she agrees to let the city demolish it and will schedule payments to pay off <br />the lien. Mr. Talley stated that this use to be a beauty shop behind the house on <br />SE 6th St. There is a large hole in the roof and water is leaking into the structure. <br />There are broken windows and although some windows are boarded up the boards <br />are starting to pull away. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 60 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Sally McEwin, seconded by Johnny Norris to allow 60 <br />days to demolish. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />D. 903 NE 7'/z, Margraves, Phillips, Estes Addn Plat 1, Block 1, Lot 11 <br />Owner: Michael Carver, 903 NE 7 %2 St., Paris, TX 75460 <br />$459.25 owed in back taxes <br />No contact has been made with the property owner. <br />Robert Talley stated that the property is unsecure, the front door is wide open and <br />there are broken windows. Vandals have pulled the wires out of the walls and <br />ceiling. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Zac Saffle, seconded by Wendell Moore to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />E. 427 Provine St, City of Paris, Block 75 -A, Lot 7 <br />Owner: Jodie Z Cook, C/O Carrie Washington, 706 NE 1St, Paris, TX 75460 <br />$2692.03 in back taxes owed <br />No contact has been made with the owner <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the front porch deterioration along the fascia, <br />the house is unsecure, the roof is sagging and there is water damage inside the <br />house on the ceiling. At the back side of the house the underpinning is starting to <br />bow out and the ceiling tiles are falling. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Wendell Moore, seconded by Johnny Norris to accept <br />
