Motion was made by Zac Saffle, seconded by Johnny Norris to follow Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 P. 1533 Washington, City of Paris Block 112 -F, Lot 12 Owner: Par Trust c/o JL Moore Trustee, 813 Simmons Euless, TX 76040 $5447.63 in taxes owed. There has been no contact with the owners. Robert Talley stated this property came to the commission about 16 -18 months ago. The owner did take the front porch off and boarded up the house. Since then, no work has been done to the house and a hole is in the roof, the property is unsecure, windows are open, screens are peeled back, there is a tree growing out of the house, the roof is separating, the underpinning is separating, the structure is sinking, and there is water damage from the leaks. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Robert Talley told the Commission that this property came to the commission in 2012 and the property owner still hasn't done any repairs to the property. The property has a deteriorated roof, holes in the roof, and it's unsecure. The property owner had asked for 90 days and it's been 5 months. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty.
