There was a discussion about the grant goals. Evaluating our score sheet, was discussed within the <br />board. This can be discussed further in ER committee meetings. This led to discussion of a new <br />ER chair -Casey Ressler possibility. <br />Jenny Wilson -115 Clarksville St. Paris Community Theatre Brown Center for the <br />Creative Arts. Requesting $1008.00 for signage for the exterior. <br />A motion was made by Jill Drake to award the full amount requested. Casey Ressler seconded. <br />Motion passed 5 -0 with Ashlea Mattoon recusing herself. <br />Coordinator report: <br />Farmers market <br />20 vendors! Farmers market is the happening spot on Saturday mornings. Vendors are very happy. <br />Everything from asparagus to zucchini. Some vendors are coming down during the week. Hours <br />are 8 a.m.to noon. PDA has brought a kiosk to promote downtown. Discussion has opened about <br />businesses on the square aligning their hours with the market. Check out the Facebook page <br />Festival of Pumpkins update <br />Soliciting sponsors has begun and $3500 has been collected so far with a goal of $20,000. Ashlea <br />and Cheri are working to improve the kid's area. The date is October 26, 2013. Kid's games will <br />now be carnival style games that run all day. These booths will be sponsored by businesses and <br />other groups. <br />Vendor applications are coming in. New seating and umbrella stands for the day. <br />Reinvestment report <br />Cheri sent in this week. Highlights -, 107 Grand Avenue, Paris Optical Eye Care, Bonham St. <br />sidewalk project, Oncor removed old transformers. Sidewalk project is nearly complete. Ashlea <br />asked about supply of electricity to the downtown area <br />Committee reports <br />A. Organization - Casey Ressler <br />no report <br />B. Design -Kane Raulston: No meetings on the summer. Committee is working on a flyer soliciting <br />donations for benches and trash receptacles on new sidewalk project. Subway has shown interest in <br />purchasing a bench and wishes to sponsor the festival for the shade sponsorship. <br />C. Promotions -Britin Bostick: Movies have been great. Josh Allen has run the sound and visual. <br />Paris Baby has helped run the concession stand which has broken even. Two movies left, Twilight <br />and Ratatouille. Despicable Me had a turnout of around 500 people. <br />There is open discussion about fall and winter movies. There will be a wrap up meeting with totals <br />for attendance and concession. Animation has a higher turnout than other movies. Due to licensing <br />there is no longer a viewer's choice, but suggestions through the Facebook page are always <br />welcome <br />
