Meeting Minutes of the Main Street Advisory Board <br />107 Kaufman St <br />Paris Texas <br />City Council Chambers <br />Wednesday, September 17, 2013 <br />Nancy Waldrum <br />Ashley Mattoon <br />Matt Coyle <br />Karie Raulston <br />Becky Semple <br />Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager <br />Absent: <br />Jill Drake <br />Cleonne Drake, Council Liaison <br />Guest: <br />Rob Spencer, Pastor First United <br />Methodist Church <br />Brook Spencer <br />Call meeting to order- Matt Coyle at 4:32 p.m. <br />Citizens Forum: Pastor Rob Spencer, pastor of First United Methodist Church presented a plan for <br />improvements of the parking lot on the First United Methodist Church. Park ideas include walking <br />track, splash Park. Rob shared a plan drawing from friend Dan Wardlow. Board unanimously <br />supports the planned improvements, and gave support. Matt Coyle mentioned rotary club potential <br />fundraising. Option for restroom on the site is still under discussion. <br />Approval of minutes - motion to approve as presented, Nancy Waldrum, seconded by Karie <br />Raulston, Motion carried 4 -0 <br />Coordinator report <br />A. Texas Capital Fund -Cheri reported where the sidewalk projects are that the City of Paris is <br />applying for. South Main, Lamar Avenue, and 1St NW. Matt Coyle stated he would help with letters <br />of support for the area on South Main. <br />B. Carolyn Hicks has taken a new position with another hospital in the Dallas area. She is working <br />on getting a trash receptacle or bench donated from PRMC before she left. <br />C. Festival of pumpkins planning is on track. Vendors are signing up. Kid's games are sponsored <br />and the event is taking shape. The festival website is up and running and we are working on <br />keeping it up to date with contest, schedules and applications maps and events. <br />D. Holiday in Paris planning is almost complete. There is a brochure going to be passed out at the <br />Festival of Pumpkins. <br />
