6. Report from Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager. <br />Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager made report to the commission. Ms. Bedford stated <br />that every quarter she submits a report to the Main Street division of THC tracking the <br />progress of Main Street. The total investment in the downtown area last quarter was <br />$680,000.00 creating 38 jobs. Ms. Bedford further reviewed the report for the <br />commissioners going over each individual category. She also invited the HPC board to <br />come to a design meeting that will be held February 15; and on March 19 there will be a <br />training opportunity for the commissioners as well as the Main Street Board. The <br />training will qualify for the required CLG training for commissioners and HPO's. <br />7. Report from Jeanna Scott, Historic Preservation Officer: <br />A. Certificate of Appropriateness <br />Ms. Scott reported to the commission that 52 COA's where issued, 6 of which were <br />repair and maintenance. <br />B. Facade Grant <br />Ms. Scott reported that the commission has approved only one grant this budget year <br />and currently has $4,000.00 available. <br />C. CLG Report from THC <br />Ms. Scott reviewed the report with commissioners, discussing the areas of improvement <br />recommended by THC. THC recommended an updated survey be completed as soon as <br />possible utilizing CLG grant monies in the process. <br />-- CONSENT AGENDA— <br />[Items appearing on this consent agenda may be approved by a single vote of the Commission, <br />with such approval applicable to all items appearing on said agenda.
