stated yes there are several people who are interested in the property. The problem is and <br />has always been getting the heirs to sign off on the purchase. Nancy Anderson stated this <br />building has a significant water leaks that is affecting the adjacent properties, can the City <br />go in and make the repairs to keep the damage from continuing. Robert Talley stated yes <br />the City can go in and repair the roof and secure the building. Arvin Starrett asked can <br />BSC file a civil complaint or suit against the estate forcing the property heirs to come to <br />court. Robert Talley stated he did not know if they had the jurisdiction to do that. Mr. <br />Talley further stated he will speak with the City Attorney and get clarification regarding <br />this as a possibility. Commissioners discussed in length options how to make the <br />property owners take responsibility and move forward. <br />Commissioners requested further information regarding Kenny Kammer's building, the <br />Beard house and 107 Grand Avenue. Robert Talley stated they have a civil engineer <br />coming to access the Kammer building and give a report. Mr. Talley further stated that <br />BSC ordered demolition of the Beard house. Jeanna Scott stated the heirs have donated <br />107 Grand Avenue to the City of Paris, however, prior to City Council excepting the <br />donation we are getting asbestos surveys and bids for stabilizing the building. This will <br />give City Council an idea of what it would cost to attain the building. The staff should <br />have all the information ready to go to Council in July. Robert Talley further stated that <br />Ben Faber's building on Clarksville has had all required repairs completed. The <br />capstone, the awning and roof have been repaired, there is no water in the basement and <br />the floor joist in the basement look very sturdy and secure. Commissioners thanked <br />Robert for his report. <br />6. Future agenda items. Arvin Starrett requested to address commission. <br />7.
