MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8, 2012 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Paul Denney, <br />Chairman at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney <br />Douglas Cox <br />Britin Bostick <br />David Stewart <br />Nancy Anderson <br />Lauri Redus <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ben Vaughan <br />C. Also present Jeanna Scott, Historic Preservation Officer; and Robert Talley, Code <br />Enforcement Supervisor. <br />2. Election of Officers: <br />A. Chairman — Motion was made by Nancy Anderson, seconded by Douglas Cox to <br />nominate Paul Denney as Chairman. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />B. Vice - Chairman — Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded by Britin Bostick <br />to nominate Ben Vaughan as Vice - Chairman. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />C. Secretary — Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded by Nancy Anderson to <br />nominate Britin Bostick as Secretary. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (June 25, 2012) <br />Motion was made by Britin Bostick, seconded by Nancy Anderson to approve the <br />meeting minutes for June 25, 2012. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Motion was made by Nancy Anderson, seconded by Douglas Cox to recuse Britin <br />Bostick. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />4. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. One Lamar Avenue — Scott Building — Britin Bostick representing the property <br />owners presented the petition. Ms. Bostick stated they are replacing two windows <br />
