member may do so by requesting that the item be removed from the consent agenda and considered <br />as a separate item.] <br />Discussion of and possible action regarding the following structures considered by code inspectors <br />to be in violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures, " to determine whether such <br />buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and designated on the National Register- of Historic <br />Places, as a recorded Texas Historic Landmark, or as historic property as designated by the City <br />Council of the City of Paris: <br />A. 835 East Polk <br />B. 1818 West Henderson <br />C. 1365 Graham <br />D. 127518`" Street N. W. <br />E. 4712th Street S. E. <br />Motion was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Douglas Cox to send all structures to the Building <br />and Standards Commission for demolition since they cannot be rehabilitated nor do they have <br />significant historical value. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />6 Discussion of and possible action on recommendations from the sub - committee on Historic <br />Preservation handouts for the public. Matt Coyle presented a rough draft of the proposed handout. <br />Mr. Coyle further requested feedback from commissioners regarding information the handout <br />should or should not contain. Proposing a contact person placed on the brochure either with the <br />City of Paris or the commission, in case an individual had questions. The decision was made to <br />place the City of Paris as contact point, because the commission members change. Commission <br />approved the handout. <br />7. Discussion of and possible action on comparative language of the Design Guidelines on signage <br />versus the Sign Ordinance. Ben Vaughan addressed commission regarding the sign ordinance and <br />conflicts with Design Guidelines. Commissioners requested Mr. Vaughan come back at the next <br />meeting with changes that need to be made. <br />8. Request items for future agendas. Sign ordinance vs. design guidelines. <br />5.
