Motion was made by Douglas Cox, seconded by Jerry Raper to return Ben <br />Vaughan to the meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />C. 222 Clarksville Street — Janet Green — David Norris presented the petition. Mr. <br />Norris stated originally proposed painted sign on west side of the building, need <br />to change wording, being approached by people for various services and no one <br />does not know what they are truly doing at the location. The size of the letters <br />will be unchanged from the original petition. Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, <br />seconded by Paul Denney to approve the COA. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />4. Report, discussion and possible action on the findings of the sub - committee regarding the <br />sign ordinance and the Historic District. <br />Ben Vaughan presented commissioners with a handout stating possible amendments <br />to the ordinances and standards regarding signage in the historic district. Mr. Vaughan <br />reviewed the handout with commissioners. Refer to Exhibit A. City staff to go thru sign <br />ordinance and bring back findings to commission. <br />5. Report, discussion and possible action on the findings of the sub - committee regarding the <br />revisions of'the Certificate of'Appropriateness. <br />No Report. <br />6. Future agenda items. Possible change to Design Guidelines by Paul Denney regarding <br />painting the exterior of masonry buildings. <br />7.
