MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2017 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK PM <br />The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Paula Portugal, Chairman at <br />5: 30 p. m. <br />A. The following members were present: Anna Spencer, Jim Noble, Ray Ball, Dennis <br />Ashby, Matt Birch, Paula Portugal and Tim Bullock. <br />B. Also present: John Godwin, City Manager; Carla Easton, City Engineer; Michael <br />Paris, PEDC Executive Director; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager and Ashley <br />Fendley, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (November 17, 2016) <br />Motion was made by Ray Ball, seconded by Jim Noble to approve the minutes from <br />November 17, 2016 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Matt Birch arrived at 5:35 p.m. <br />3. Discussion regarding the airport hangar lease agreement. <br />John Godwin, City Manager reviewed the hangar lease agreement with the Airport <br />Advisory Board. Jim Noble asked if it should limit the number of nights for the temporary <br />overnight stays in regards to item 9. Anna Spencer stated that item 3 is very important and <br />the City needs this in the lease agreement. Dennis Ashby asked if this lease agreement <br />would keep individuals from being able to work on their own aircrafts. John Godwin <br />stated that individuals would still be able to work on their own aircraft. Dennis Ashby <br />also asked about items 27 -30 regarding insurance policies. John Godwin stated that he <br />would meet with Stephanie Harris, City Attorney regarding the insurance policy. The <br />Airport Advisory Board asked to add that subleasing not be allowed in the Hangar Lease. <br />4. Discussion regarding development opportunities. <br />Michael Paris, PEDC Executive Director stated PEDC has added advertisement to their <br />website under industry spaces for the Cox Field Airport. Mr. Paris stated that PEDC is <br />also highlighting the airport with blast emails to roughly 1000 industry leads once every <br />two weeks. Mr. Paris further stated that last November he went to the National Business <br />
