House has missing windows, no door and the ceiling is cracking from possible water damage. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 O. 1810 W Austin, Lot Pt 14, 15, & 16, Block 5, SJ Wright Addition Owner: Lana Lynn Clay, 195 Laredo Dr Reno, TX 75462 Robert Talley stated that there has been no contact with the property owner. The main structure on the property was torn down but rubbish was left. The other building has been burnt and is falling in. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Motion was made by Ryan Lassiter, seconded by Wendell Moore to follow Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 4. Update from Code Enforcement (1) Don Wilson asked if the City Council passed the ordinance to hire a structural engineer. This is not going to be addressed by the council until the new budget year. (2) The Commission asked about 260 S. Main, property owned by Kenny Kammer. Robert stated that a structural engineer will be in town Wednesday, June 20, 2012 to inspect the building. (3) Robert Talley stated that Sanitation Solutions has the first list of work orders of houses to be demolished and is half way done. 5. Don Wilson asked if the next BSC Meeting could be scheduled for July 12, 2012. As long as the council chambers are available the meeting will take place on this date at 4:00pm.
