I. 506 E Price, Lot 1, City Block 28 <br />Owner: Lawanda Gomez, 1425 NE 17th Paris, TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated the owner did get a demolition permit from the City and tore <br />down the top floor of the house. That was 8 or 9 months ago and nothing has <br />been done since. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Lee Ann Barbee, seconded by Ryan Lassiter to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 <br />J. 540 NE 1st, Lot 3 & 19, City Block 92 <br />Owner: Leon & Eupheria Bostic, % R. Bostic, 918 Kings Court Duncanville, TX <br />75137 <br />Robert Talley stated that he spoke with the owners. They hired Ed Darnell to <br />demolish the house. He was paid but never did the work. The owners have shown <br />copies of the receipts. They do not have the money to pay someone again to tear it <br />down. <br />Don Wilson asked John Lestock if it was possible for them to sue Ed Darnell. Mr. <br />Lestock stated that they had to right to take it to either the County Judge or to <br />Municipal Court. Mr. Wilson would like Robert to follow up with the owners to <br />make the aware of this. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zack Saffle to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 <br />K. 1004 NE 7th, Lot 2 -C, Block 4, Pickard Addition <br />Owner: Carlton Bernard Mitchell, 1161 17th NE, Paris, TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated that he has had no contact with the property owner. Has <br />extensive fire damage. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Ryan Lassiter, seconded by Vicki Ballard to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 <br />L. 1141 SE 6th, Lot 5 -A & Pt 5 -B, City Block 163 -A <br />Owner: Mary Jo Kitchens <br />Robert Talley stated that he spoke with Mrs. Kitchens and she was giving the <br />property to her son. The son does not want it and has no plans to fix it. The roof <br />has a hole in it, boards are rotting and there are broken windows. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />
