MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2012 <br />3:00 P.M. <br />1. Ryan Lassiter called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at <br />3:05 P.M. <br />Roll was called. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Johnny Norris (arrived at 3:50pm) <br />Wendell Moore <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />Chris Brown <br />Zach Saffle <br />Don Wilson (arrived at 3:15pm) <br />B. Staff present: <br />Robert Talley <br />Nicki Brown <br />John Lestock <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (September 17, 2012) <br />Motion was made by Chris Brown and seconded by Wendell Moore to approve the <br />minutes for the September 17, 2012 meeting. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 <br />3. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and <br />owner(s) and /or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of <br />a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures ": . <br />Request was made by Robert Talley to move to item 3. O., 1203 SE 16th; Lot 13, City Block <br />14 <br />O. 1203 SE 16th; Lot 13, Block 14, Gibbon - Braden Addition <br />Owner: Joyce Blair Freeman, 6926 FM 195 Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Joyce Freeman <br />Mr. Talley stated that the property at 1203 SE 16th has deterioration of the <br />foundation, insulation is hanging out, has some rotting of the foundation, and <br />deterioration of the wood. <br />Joyce Freeman spoke, she stated that the house doesn't leak and its wiring was <br />good. She asked for 90 days to repair the property and at this time the property <br />is not occupied. <br />
