MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2012 <br />3:00 P.M. <br />1. Don Wilson called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at 3:03 <br />P.M. <br />Roll was called. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Johnny Norris <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />Zac Saffle <br />Don Wilson <br />Vicky Ballard (arrived at 3:07pm) <br />Wendell Moore (arrived at 3:18pm) <br />B. Staff present: <br />Robert Talley <br />Nicki Brown <br />John Lestock <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (October 15, 2012) <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris and seconded by Zac Saffle to approve the <br />minutes for the October 15, 2012 meeting. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 <br />3. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and <br />owner(s) and /or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of <br />a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures ": <br />Vicky Ballard entered the meeting. <br />Request was made by Robert Talley to move to item 3. L., 905 NE 13th, Lot 1, City Block 7 <br />L. 905 NE 13th, Lot 1, Block 7, Belmont Addition <br />Owner: Rhonda N. Thacker, 859 NE 13th Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Rhonda N. Thacker and husband Kenneth Thacker. Mr. Thacker <br />addressed the Commission. <br />Mr. Talley stated that the property at 905 NE 13th has a rotting floor, it's boarded <br />up, siding is chipping and breaking, several gaps allow nature in, and there are <br />large holes in the siding. <br />Kenneth Thacker spoke, he stated that the house is solid; he has talked to a roofer <br />
