MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2009 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />l . The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, <br />Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Paul Denney, Vice- Chairman <br />Douglas Cox <br />Ben Vaughan <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Jerry Raper <br />Matt Coyle <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />C. Also present was Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer, Kevin Kear, City <br />Council person, and Jeanna Scott, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (August 24, 2009) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Douglas Cox to approve the minutes for <br />the August 24, 2009 meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Report and discussion on demolition by neglect citations issued to property owners in the <br />Historic District by Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer. <br />Robert Talley gave report to commissioners. Commissioners requested Kevin Carruth <br />and Kent McIlyar be present at the next meeting to answer questions. Commissioners <br />further requested a monthly report from Robert Talley. <br />4. Discussion of and possible action on approval of the Design Guidelines. <br />Commissioners reviewed the Design Guidelines. Motion was made by Paul Denney, <br />seconded by Ben Vaughan to approve the Design Guidelines pending corrections. <br />Motion carried 4 -0. <br />
