MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2007 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Sharon Nabors <br />Susan Scholz <br />Ann Rogers <br />Paul Denney <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />The following members were absent: <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Alternate: Vanessa Preston <br />B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and <br />Bethany Golden, Main Street Manager. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion made by Brain Wear, <br />seconded by Susan Scholz, to approve the minutes for January 10, 2007. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates ofAppropriateness: <br />A. 29 E. Plaza - Paris Prom and Bridal - Alex Pickering stated that the <br />small sign will go underneath the awning which will still allow for the <br />eight foot of clearance that is required. The main sign will be placed <br />above the awning. This is along the same lines as the signs at <br />Michelle's Crafts. Motion was made to approve the COA by Paul <br />Denney, seconded by Ann Rogers. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />
