Discussion of and possible action regarding the following structures <br />considered by code inspectors to be in violation of Article N of Chapter 7 of <br />the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled <br />"Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures," to determine <br />whethersuch buildings or structures can be rehabilitated and designated on <br />the National Register of Historic Places, as a recorded Texas Historic <br />Landmark, or as historic property as designated by the City Council of the <br />City of Paris: <br />A. 756 6h Street N. W, <br />B. 674 13t`' Street N. W. <br />C. 1400 block W. Washington <br />D. 2600 block Clark Lane <br />E. 3220 Lamar Avenue <br />F. 2925 Lamar Avenue <br />G. 351100 Street N.E. <br />Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Brian Wear, to send all <br />except (E), 3220 Lamar Avenue, to the Building and Standards Commission <br />for demolition since they cannot be rehabilitated nor do they have significant <br />historical value. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />Sharron Nabors requested that (E) be discussed separately. Chairman <br />Starrett reminded the Commissioners that it was only the job of HPC to <br />determine whether a structure would be eligible as a landmark, not whether <br />or not the house was not bad enough to demolish. The latter is the job of BSC <br />only. It was the consensus of the Commissioners that (E) does not meet the <br />architectural standard of a landmark. Sharon Nabors stated she hates to see <br />a nice house go down. Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by <br />Brian Wear, to send (E) to BSC for review since it does not have significant <br />historical value. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />5. Presentation by Sue Ann Pemberton, Main Street Architects, and workshop <br />to receive, discuss, and take possible action on the Design Standards for the <br />Downtown and Church Street Historic Districts. Sue Ann Pemberton stated <br />
