MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2009 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, <br />Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Paul Denney, Vice- Chairman (arrived late 12:10 pm) <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Douglas Cox <br />Jerry Raper <br />Matt Coyle <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ben Vaughan <br />C. Also present were Jeanna Scott, Administrative Assistant. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (July 27, 2009) <br />Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Matt Coyle to approve the minutes for <br />the July 27, 2009 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />C. 102 Clarksville Street — Sonya Shipman — Motion was made by Susan Scholz, <br />seconded by Douglas Cox to approve the COA. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />B. 111 Lamar Avenue — Daniel Gallery — Kari Daniel presented the petition, <br />explaining the new sign will be designed to match the current sign. Motion was <br />made by Matt Coyle, seconded by Susan Scholz to approve the COA. Motion <br />carried 5 -0. <br />A. 104 Bonham — Capital One — Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by <br />Jerry Raper to approve the COA. Motion carried 5 -0 <br />4. Discussion of and possible action on expanding the northern boundaries of the <br />Downtown Historic District. <br />
