MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS <br />CITY HALL - COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2006 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice Chairman <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Jerry Raper <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Alternate: Becki Norment <br />The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rogers, Secretary <br />Paul Denney <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />B. Also present were Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer; and <br />Bethany Golden, Main Street Coordinator /Asst. HPO. <br />2. Approve minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes as <br />presented from the January 11, 2006, and January 18, 2006, meetings was <br />made by Jerry Raper, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness: <br />A. 574 Church Street - Kelly and Melissa Wickersham. This item was <br />tabled at the January 18, 2006, special meeting. Motion was made to <br />remove from the table by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Jerry Raper. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Kelly Wickersham addressed the Commission and stated he only had <br />a couple of questions. He asked if his house could be leveled and a <br />pharmacy put in its place. Arvin Starrett stated that the property is not <br />zoned for retail, so no it could. Mr. Wickersham asked if, <br />hypothetically, the property were zoned for it, could a pharmacy be built <br />there and the house torn down. Chairman Starrett stated that there is <br />
