MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2005 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice - Chairman <br />Ann Rodgers <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Paul Denney <br />Jerry Raper <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Alternate: Becki Norment <br />C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, Tony <br />Williams, City Manager, and Bethany Golden, Main Street Coordinator. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />from the March 31, 2003; July 28, 2003; January 12, 2005; and January 24, <br />2005, meetings was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Barbara Wilson. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness: <br />A. 130 Bonham Street- Dan Atnip. Paul Denney advised the Commission <br />that Mr. Atnip proposed to remove the upper windows and strip, <br />repaint, and replace them; to expose the transom windows; and to <br />relocate the doors on the lower level. He stated Mr. Atnip would apply <br />for another COA for paint colors at a later date. Motion to recuse Paul <br />Denney was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Ann Rodgers. <br />Motion carried unanimously. Motion to approve the COA as presented <br />was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion <br />carried unanimously. Motion to bring Paul Denney back was made by <br />Brian Wear, seconded by Ann Rodgers. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
