Grove <br />Motion to forward to the Building and Standards Commission all houses <br />except 229 5th Street N.E. was made by Ann Rodgers, seconded by Sue <br />Lancaster. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />- - - -- END CONSENT AGENDA - - - -- <br />6. Discussion of and possible action on activities to celebrate Preservation <br />Month. Bethany Golden, Main Street Coordinator, presented several options <br />of what the Commission could do to celebrate Preservation Month in May, <br />including a walking tour, a historical lecture. Motion was made by Barbara <br />Wilson, seconded by Paul Denney, for Suzy Harper and City staff to come up <br />with a proposal. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />7. Receipt of report from the Historic Preservation Officer. The HPO handed out <br />the attached report. Chairman Starrett advised the Commission that the COA <br />violation notice policy will be revised to add an additional step, which <br />consists of an initial courtesy request for compliance prior to the issuance of <br />a formal violation notice. He stated itwould extend the time the process took, <br />but it would help to build and maintain good will. <br />8. Request items from Board for future agendas. The HPO advised that the <br />Pocket Park was scheduled to be placed on the next agenda. <br />9.
