Barbara Wilson stated that the storefront of the previous car dealership <br />needs camouflaging. Texas Historic Commission submitted <br />suggestions. There is no construction involved except replacing <br />blanker panels. It was suggested that they add a canopy. The panels <br />are faux painted panels. <br />Ann Rogers joined the meeting. <br />Motion was made to approve the COA by Claudia Hunt, seconded by <br />Jerry Raper. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Motion for Barbara Wilson to return to the meeting was made by <br />Claudia Hunt, seconded by Paul Denney. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />B. 134 S. Main - Paul McClain. Paul McClain stated that the sign will be <br />placed under the canopy above the door. Motion was made to approve <br />the COA, with the two -sided sign hung perpendicular to the building, <br />by Paul Denney, seconded by Barbara Wilson. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />C. 60 W. Washington - Sokhem Chan. Chantu Chan stated that the gates <br />would be basically the same as the Capri Apartments with lights and a <br />metal fence. The gates will be placed at 6 entrances. Motion was made <br />to approve the COA using black rails and white shutters by Paul <br />Denney, seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />D. 101 Grand Avenue - Brenda Smyers by Mary Clark, Designated Agent. <br />The building was donated to Paris Living but has now been sold to the <br />owners of the antique store; however, one condition of the sale was for <br />a plaque to be placed on the outside of the building. The 8 x 10 plaque <br />is to be placed on the western edge of the building. Motion to approve <br />the COA was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Jerry Raper. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br />4. Ratify and confirm a recommendation to the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />and the City Council to establish an Historic Overlay District No. 13 (HD -13) <br />(Downtown Historic District No. 2) on part of Lot 1, Block A of the Paris CVS <br />Addition, being number 561 Clarksville Street Motion was made to approve <br />by Paul Denney, seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />A. Consideration ofand action on recommending approval ofa requestfor <br />tax exemption from CVS Corporation. Motion was made to approve by <br />Barbara Wilson, seconded by Jerry Raper. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />
