6. Consideration of and action on possible amendments to Section II.A.4. of the <br />Downtown Design Guidelines relating to permits for "mothballing." Lisa <br />Wright presented to the Commission wording for permits regarding <br />"mothballing ". Motion was made to approve by Paul Denney, seconded by <br />Barbara Wilson. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />7. Receipt of report from the Historic Preservation Officer. The HPO handed out <br />the attached report. She also presented a memo from the Legal Department <br />regarding information on the Brown lawsuit. <br />She reported that the owner has boarded up the building at 301 Bonham <br />Street, but unless a repair plan is submitted soon, then the building will come <br />forward to be sent to BSC. She also told the Commission she expected to see <br />three marquee signs in the District coming down within the next couple of <br />weeks. <br />8. Request items from Board for future agendas. The HPO advised she would <br />put items on the agenda to address canopies in the downtown area. <br />Chairman Starrett reminded the Commission that the Preservation Visionary <br />Award will be presented at the Chamber Banquet on October 25. The HPO <br />asked the Commission to consider taking on the opening of the new Council <br />Chambers. <br />9.
