approve windows with adequate mullions. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />Becki Norment joined the meeting. <br />B. 208 S. Main Street - Pat Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree stated that he <br />understood that the Commission wants glass to wrap back around the <br />corner of the building, but he stated that interior windows frames show <br />that this type of wrapped window was not original to the building. He <br />recommended replacing the garage doors with permanent installations <br />that mimic the look of the doors. He also recommended placing <br />divided panes in north windows. Motion was made by Paul Denney, <br />seconded by Sue Lancaster, to approve as presented with the following <br />exceptions: (1) the northeast fenestration be three divided lites using <br />two vertical mullions on each of the east and north windows; (2) that <br />the wrought iron fencing be either black or Gulf Blue with no <br />ornamentation; and (3) that the fence brick be painted white. Motion <br />carried 7 -0. <br />4. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Donna L. Moore to establish an <br />Historic Overlay District No. 14 (HD -14) on Lots 2 and 3, City Block 36, being <br />number 546 Pine Bluff. Lisa Wright advised the Commission that the property <br />owner lived out of town and could not attend; however, she requested the <br />establishment of the Historic Overlay District with knowledge of what <br />requirements came with the designation. Ann Rogers asked if more than just <br />this lot was included, that the Chairman advised it was not. <br />5. Consideration of and action on recommending to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission approval of the petition of Donna L. Moore to establish an <br />Historic Overlay District No. 14 (HD -14) on Lots 2 and 3, City Block 36, being <br />number 546 Pine Bluff and establishing design guidelines for the District. <br />Motion was made to approve the petition to establish an Historic Overlay <br />District with SOI Standards by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Barbara Wilson. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />6. Discussion ofand possible action on conditions of downtown canopies. Lisa <br />Wright presented several photographs of downtown canopies, and asked the <br />Commission if they would consider designating the balance of the facade <br />grantfunds to replace, repair, or repaint downtown canopies since the impact <br />could potentially be considerable. She noted that there were some far worse <br />off than others, and asked the Commission if they wanted to pinpoint specific <br />canopies or make the funds available to any who apply. Paul Denny <br />recommended we attempt to reach those canopies that were the most <br />pressing, such as the Lawrence Hotel (where the Pet Shop is). Beck! Norment <br />stated that saving the canopies is important to downtown ambiance. Motion <br />was made by Beck! Norment, seconded by Sue Lancaster, to approve eight (8) <br />
